We recommend that you arrive at the terminal in Vancouver or Victoria no later than 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.

If you have a reservation with V2V, you will have received a confirmation document. This is a scannable code that you are asked to present prior to boarding the vessel.

Additional luggage or bulky items such as skis, golf clubs, and bikes will cost CA$25 per item. Your gate agent will be able to process any payments for additional luggage.

When you board, bring your luggage with you and hand it to one of our crew on board the boat. Your luggage is stored in the luggage hold at the rear of the vessel.

The main deck, Premium Class, is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any accessibility needs.

Children 2 – 12 years old pay 50% of the fare. Infants under 2 years old travel for free and must sit on a parent’s lap.

We reserve the right not to transport any passenger under the age of 19 years, unless accompanied by an adult passenger.

We are unable to accommodate dogs other than service animals.

A service animal is any officially licensed guide dog or other animal individually trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability.

At check-in the owner of the service animal must produce an official certificate according to the British Columbia Guide Dog and Service Dog Act.

You will not be required to show identification to board however for purchases of alcoholic beverages on-board two pieces of identification will be required, including one government-issued identification.

Passengers taking advantage of special rates such as AAA, CAA, BCAA, Seniors, Vancouver Island Residents, Government or Armed Forces Rates, must show one government-issued identification or membership card.

All passengers, regardless what class they are travelling in, are invited to the upper outside deck to enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view.

The V2V Empress is a smoke-free facility. There is no smoking of any sort allowed on the dock or on board at any time. This includes e-Cigarettes and Vapors.
